Founding CTO & software engineering lead
13 years shipping modern-stack software, building the teams that own it, and migrating legacy systems without stopping delivery.
About

Before I ever wrote a line of JavaScript, I was leading teams in retail banking. When I transitioned into engineering in 2013, leadership quickly became part of my work again. I later joined FieldVision—a lean startup with a modern technology stack—intentionally taking a hands-on role to better understand what I wanted from the next stage of my career.
What I discovered is that I don’t want to choose between leading people and building products. I’ve led a twelve-person department reporting directly to a CTO, and I’ve served as the sole engineer behind a product with paying customers. I understand the demands, tradeoffs, and responsibilities that come with both.
I build teams that ship, establish the standards they ship by, and stay close enough to the code to earn the trust of the engineers I lead. If that’s the kind of leadership you’re looking for, I’d like to talk.
